Everyone in the Wordpress community knows Small Potato and his legacy of fine tutorials. We are also aware of the new owner of WPdesigner > although no new word on it’s progress by far. So my question is: who will follow Small Potato’s footsteps? For new bloggers like me - who have depended on tutorials in WPdesigner - I feel like I am completely on my own. I have started my own theme - but am now once again lost. Anyone know of a centralized website like wpdesigner who is entirely devoted to teaching newbies like me?

Following up on my post, I found Ian Stewart who is a good candidate to follow Small Potato. In fact, he explicitly said:

I’m also hoping to follow along with some of Small Potato’s personal standards for paid WordPress themes (except this will be a free theme). He earned a reputation for a reason. His personal standards are one of the reasons. But I’ll only be following up to a point though. I have my own opinions of course

By “follow in Small Potato’s footsteps” do you mean scamming literally hundreds of people out of cash?
